Professional Diploma in Insurance Management (PDIn)
The course is offered by The All India Management Association (AIMA). AIMA-CME has an exclusive agreement with NIA, Pune for design and development of the curriculum and courseware for its Professional Diploma in Insurance Management (PDIn).
About AIMA
The All India Management Association (AIMA) was created in 1957 as the national Apex Body of the management profession with active support of the Government of India and Corporate Sector. AIMA is intended as a cause group - a body to pool management thoughts in the country; a forum to develop a national managerial ethos; an organization to facilitate the furtherance of the profession and its contribution to society. Today, four decades later, AIMA is recognized for its national stature, upheld by a broad base of 60 Local Management Associations with over 30,000 Professional Individual Members and 3,000 corporate organizations as Institutional Members
About National Insurance Academy
The Life Insurance Corporation of India and the General Insurance Corporation of India along with its subsidiary insurance companies jointly sponsored the National Insurance Academy. It was established in 1980-81 primarily as a training institute for the senior executives of the insurance industry. It has since evolved as the apex Institute in the country in the Insurance field.
About the Programme
There is an increasing demand in the dynamic insurance industry for dedicated insurance professionals to enhance their careers by acquiring advanced knowledge of the challenging world of insurance. Opening up of the Insurance Sector to the Private Sector has resulted in multiplied opportunities in the area. The area offers increased scope in all the functional areas, including Marketing, Operations and HR. Centre for Management Education (CME) under the aegis of All India Management Association (AIMA) has introduced a unique one-year Professional Diploma in Insurance Management (PDIn) from January'2003. Curriculum and courseware for this programme has been exclusively designed and developed by National Insurance Academy (NIA), Pune for AIMA.
One can consider Professional Diploma in Insurance Management (PDIn) if they are contemplating a career in insurance management in the various parts of the industry, eg life insurance and other financial services, general insurance, broking, risk management, Marketing or Sales. The programme will not only enhance career opportunities for Insurance professionals but also improve management standards and performance within the industry.

Eligibility
Bachelor degree in any discipline from a recognized be held at University / 3 year diploma holders in any discipline
Evaluation
On the basis of assignments and exams to the end of June and December every year
Duration
Minimum one year (Maximum time 3 years)
Fees Structure
Rs 10,000/- (all inclusive)
Admission Procedure
There is no entrance examination. Candidate should purchase AIMA-CME prospectus by cash payment of Rs.300/- from AIMA's office/ Nodal Centres or by sending a DD of Rs.350/- in favour of AIMA-CME, payable at New Delhi.
The admission form enclosed with the Prospectus should be filled and submitted with programme fee, two photographs and proof of graduation before the last date.
Once the registration in the course is confirmed, the Admission Dept. will send a confirmation letter specifying the Regn. No. and the list of books that will be send to the candidates.
After the study material is received, classes will be conducted at the Nodal Centre.
